Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back in times of need. Volunteers offer essential support for the community and voluntary sector in the delivery of projects and services. Have you considered being a volunteer? Introduction to volunteering workshop might help you explore whether volunteering might be something for you.
Ealing adult learning, in partnership with Neighbourly Care and Catalyst Housing, is bringing you an online introduction to volunteering workshop on 30 March from 9.30am to 12pm. The workshop is free and it will take you through the process and expectations of volunteering with our partners in Ealing.
What you will learn
- Why volunteering is valued by organisations and communities alike
- How to develop practical and emotional skills and gain experience whilst making a difference
- Where you can volunteer locally and what you need before you start.
The workshop will be taking place on Zoom and will contain a presentation and interactive discussion. You will also get the chance to ask questions.
Who is the workshop suitable for?
This is an introduction workshop and is open to everyone who is over 18. It’s suitable if you have a desire to help Ealing-based organisations or communities by giving your time or skills to benefit others. The workshop is also ideal for those who have recently retired, on furlough, on a career break or looking to change profession.
How to sign up for introduction to volunteering?
